Disclaimer: Unfortunately, Laser Hair Removal does not work at this time on blonde, red, or grey hair. The laser does not see it to pick it up, the laser is attracted to the color pigment in the hair follicle. Reds, strawberry blondes, and dark blondes will not work. We do hope that as technology advances, this will change in the future!
BEFORE-AFTER
Pre-Treatment Guidelines
- Avoid sun exposure on the treatment area for four weeks prior to your appointment.
- Ensure all self-tanners and spray tans are completely removed from the area.
- Refrain from tweezing, waxing, threading, using depilatories, or bleaching the area 4–6 weeks before and during treatments.
- Shave the treatment area 12–24 hours before your session to prevent adverse reactions and facilitate effective laser targeting.
• If not shaven, a $35.00 shaving fee will be applied if we have to shave the area.
This does not apply to small areas like the lip or chin. - Arrive with clean skin, free from makeup, lotions, perfumes, and deodorant.
- Discontinue photosensitive medications 1 week before treatment. If you are on something you can’t go off of, we will do a test spot and wait 48 hours to see how your skin reacts and have you come in for treatment after 48 hours. If you have questions about photosensitive medications or supplements, please call the office. We have a list. We do consider Fish Oil and St. John’s Wort to be photosensitive for laser. Again, any questions about photosensitive medicine or supplements, please call.
Post-Treatment Care
(you will be given a post-care sheet after treatment)
- Apply a cool compress to soothe the treated area if needed.
- Avoid sun exposure and use sunscreen to protect the treated skin.
- Refrain from hot baths, saunas, and strenuous exercise for 24 hours post-treatment.
- Follow any additional aftercare instructions provided by your technician to ensure optimal results.
